The U.S.-Africa Trade Commission, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Davison Todson Gomo as Chairman, Board of Governors. Dr. Gomo is a renowned business leader with extensive experience in international trade and economic development. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in international trade, economics, and cross-cultural collaboration, making him an ideal candidate to lead the Commission’s efforts in fostering economic growth and strengthening business ties between the United States and Africa.

With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Dr. Gomo has been at the forefront of promoting trade and investment opportunities in the African continent. His expertise in identifying market trends, forging strategic partnerships, and implementing innovative solutions has earned him widespread recognition in the global business community.

An accomplished senior executive with strong affinity for creativity and innovation, Dr. Gomo has a unique combination of business, economic and political understanding, experience and capabilities to assimilate and understand the intricate global interface between nations and economic and political systems.

Dr. Gomo holds a Doctor of Philosophy in International Business from the famous International University London, a Master’s degree in International Legal Studies from the University of East London Law School, a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of North London , a Master’s of Science in Education Management from the University of Greenwich, and a Master of Laws in International Law and the World Economy with a Distinction, from the University of East London Law School, among several other academic laurels.

As Chairman, Dr. Gomo will oversee the Commission’s activities and play a key role in enhancing bilateral trade, promoting investments, and encouraging technological advancements between the United States and Africa. Additionally, he will work closely with government officials, business leaders, and other stakeholders to facilitate dialogue, address challenges, and advocate for policies that promote sustainable economic development in both regions.
